The ACC Bugaboos Section

The ACC continues to grow

The ACC family grew a bit bigger this spring as the club welcomed a new local chapter to our ranks. At the club’s 2023 Annual General Meeting in Canmore in May, the ACC officially welcomed the Bugaboo Section as the 25th local section of the ACC.

Based in Invermere, BC, "the Bugs" will be promoting mountain culture and community in the East Kootenays and facilitating opportunities for people of all ages to experience backcountry adventure.

ACC Bugs joins 24 existing local sections of the club from Vancouver Island to the Yukon to Newfoundland & Labrador. The club now has eight sections in BC, six in Alberta, three in Ontario, two in each of Quebec, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, one in the north and one in the Maritimes. Each ACC section runs its own local programming, including outings, socials, meet-ups and larger trips. ACC members are welcome to join multiple sections to be included in local programming in their home area or areas where they recreate.

The Columbia Valley Pioneer newspaper recently published a story on the birth of the Bugaboos Section, you can read it online here.

For Bugs news, social events and trip info, you can follow ACC Bugs on their Facebook page.

The ACC family extends a warm welcome to ACC Bugaboos!
