Art & Books
Art is important to the way we understand our outdoor spaces - it inspires us to get out and protect the places we play in. We've gathered a variety of work that instills that feeling and we're proud to highlight our art and book supporters for the Summit Bid.
If Gisa isn’t in her studio, you can find her outside skiing, hiking, and swimming in cold mountain lakes. Her paintings are on display in many private and corporate collections in Europe, North America and Australia.
Anonymous Donor
This piece was created by Peter Fuhrmann, former President of The Alpine Club of Canada and honorary member of the ACMG, and was donated to the Summit Bid auction over 10 years ago. It sold for $500 to a lucky winner who proudly brought it home from the Chateau Lake Louise, where the Mountain Guides Ball used to be hosting for many years. This special piece has now been generously donated back to the Summit Bid for this years' auction to support the Leadership Fund!
In addition to the stained glass piece, the winning bidder will receive a copy of Robert Sandford’s Summit Series book about Peter, signed by both Robert and Peter.
